Brooklyn Local is a truly unique festival spotlighting small to mid-sized breweries in and around the five boroughs. Unlike other festivals which highlight only a few local breweries, we stick to our name and keep it all local. By attending, you will get the opportunity to taste a huge selection of great beers from the NYC Area. Attendees are able to sample every beer available with unlimited tasting.
We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with The Brooklyn Kitchen this year!
I love beer. Where can I get tickets?!
Tickets for Brooklyn Local may be acquired beginning late august and there will be a limited number of pre-sale tickets. Please note that all sales are final; ticket exchanges and refunds will not be allowed. If you are having trouble purchasing tickets, please let us know through our contact page.
What are the ticket options?
All tickets are general admission. We want to cultivate a sense of community among our event-goers and wish to create a space where every attendee has an equal chance to discover great beers. Tickets will be issued in the form of a punch-card that lists the name of each brewery in attendance, the beer(s) they are offering, and will have space for participants to jot down notes and highlight some of their favorites.
When is this glorious celebration of beer?
Check in early next year to see when the next festival is announced, or subscribe to out mailing list.
What beers will be offered for my tasting pleasure?
In staying true to our name, we will offer only local craft beers from Brooklyn and the surrounding NYC area. For a list of the brewers currently attending, head on over to our Brewers page. More breweries will be added as we get closer to the event and all varieties are subject to change and availability.
Will there be food at the festival?
Of course - it wouldn't be much of a festival without food. In addition to local craft brews, the festival will also feature some of the best local food vendors in the way of stands and trucks. Check out our Food Carts page to see who's expected so far.
What about music?
Click here to see who will be our musical guide this year.
How old must I be to attend?
All attendees must be 21+ with no exceptions. Valid ID must be presented at the door.
Where will the festival be held? How do I get there?
Brooklyn Local will be held at 420 Carroll St. in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn, a short walk from the F, G, and R trains. Public transportation is strongly encouraged, however if you wish to drive with a designated driver, there will be limited street parking. Please be respectful of the surrounding neighborhood and pay attention to city signage. The location is outdoors and although we anticipate great weather, the event is rain or shine.
What about pets? Can I bring Fido with me on my tasting journey?
While we are animal lovers, we unfortunately cannot allow pets at the event due to safety concerns. Exceptions are made for service animals. Please leave your K9s, felines, birds, reptiles, and other non-human friends home for the day.
Is there anything I can't bring to the festival?
Thanks for asking! Due to safety concerns, outside food and alcohol, glass, and weapons of any sort are strictly prohibited from the grounds.
